A GREENER AND MORE SOCIAL

PLANET TOGETHER

BE PART OF THE SOLUTION

THE SOUL

COMMUNITY

WHO WE ARE

The Soul Community is a non-profit foundation that supports social organisations around the world in developing conscious solutions that reduce environmental impact.

Through strategic and equal partnerships, our mission is to give back to mother nature and help people who are affected by climate change, poverty and war.

The Soul Community was founded by Menno Koopmans and Natalia Sagastibeltza.

HOW WE DO IT

For every Soul Water product that is purchased, we donate a percentage of our sales to our own charitable foundation, The Soul Community.

The Soul Community then donates the money to two social organisations (NGO projects) that help build infrastructure and teach people new skills so that they can build a more sustainable life.

The philosophy of The Soul Community is to create long-term partnerships and we have chosen to work with Justdiggit, Movement On The Ground and Ibiza Preservation.

JUSTDIGGIT

COOLING DOWN THE

PLANET

Justdiggit makes dry land green again by inspiring and activating farmers in Africa, by doing this they are making a positive impact on climate change, nature, and people!

Degraded landscapes are restored by combining traditional farming techniques with modern technology & a strong communication approach.

Together with their partners, Justdiggit creates the ReGreen Revolution: a grassroots movement, based on learnings and best practices, powered by their network.

MOVEMENT ON

THE GROUND

TOGETHER TOWARDS

DIGNITY

Movement On The Ground (MOTG) is a Dutch foundation established in 2015 by five independent business people and creatives who were touched by the refugee crisis and called to action.

Motivated to change the game of humanitarian aid for refugees, Movement On The Ground made its mission to provide a dignified, sustainable and innovative response to the refugee crisis, that involves and benefits both refugees and their host community. We call this response, or in better term philosophy, “Camp to campUs”.

We aim to maintain a fixed presence of the Greek islands on Lesvos and Samos, running projects in and around camps based on our philosophy. We unlock the power and potential of refugees and include them in the running of our projects. We make them feel powerful and valuable. Together, we are working to improve their living conditions, maximise their skills, and increase their connection to their host community in Greece.

Our Camp to campUs philosophy is something that we have developed and nurtured, we are now realising just how impactful this approach is in relation to the refugee crisis. Moving forward, we hope to be able to extend our mission beyond the Greek islands to more refugee camps across the globe. We want to work together, with all stakeholders in this crisis, towards dignity.

ABOUT THE

FOUNDERS

MENNO & NATALIA

They are creators, entrepreneurs, and a husband and wife team, who are passionate about building a more sustainable planet together.

Following their hearts and journey into consciousness, they decided – after many years of owning and running a business together - to establish The Soul Community so that they could help make a greater impact on the world around them.

"We wanted to start our own foundation that was based on the values we share for sustainability: a positive impact, positive energy, and working together to help people and the planet. We’ve met so many incredible people and NGOs that are undertaking amazing projects to help create sustainable change on small and large scales, and we wanted to be part of the solution. The Soul Community works with sustainable brands who share 10% of their turnover back with us so that we can reinvest this into projects with carefully chosen NGO partners for environmental and social change." - Menno Koopmans

"Having a more conscious approach to living has always been something that is a part of me. Understanding our impact on people and the world around us helps us. to connect with ourselves and find more purpose in what we do. Creating The Soul Community is a way that Menno and I can help to give back some of the blessings that we’ve received in our life, by helping everyone, everywhere enjoy a more sustainable planet." - Natalia Sagastibeltza
